Vikings Look For Redemption After Loss
- Christian Raev with the story on the Airline Vikings for JAWS.
Both AHS and RHS looked ready to go last Friday at Airline's stadium. Both teams' defensive lines did an excellent job of shutting down the others offense almost leading them into halftime with a score of 0-0. However, Airline scored their first touchdown in the 2nd quarter with a kickoff making the score 7-0. Into the third quarter, Ruston answers right back by intercepting and scoring a touchdown, however, fortunately RHS misses the field goal leaving the Vikings still ahead with a score of 7-6.
Into the 4th and final quarter, Ruston makes another interception and scores their second touchdown taking the lead with a score of 7-12. Though the Vikes tried valiantly to reclaim the higher score, the game ended with a final score of 7-12. With Homecoming week following, the Vikings will have a chance of redemption against the Franklin Parish Patriots.
