Parkway’s Defense stuffs Booker T. Washington in Homecoming game.

Parkway held BTW to just 154-yards of total offense in a commanding 44-20 win. The young Panther team held firm control of the game and had 44-0 led in by half time.

Offensively, Parkway was dominant through the air with 6 passing TDs. Keondre Wudtee threw for 5 while backup Justin Rogers contributed a touchdown in garbage time. Wudtee looked fantastic hitting his receivers in stride allowing them to burn the lions secondary. Artavious Lynn shined with 76 receiving yards and 2TDs, one coming off a long 53 yard run after a stellar catch. The always consistent Jared Lancaster led the team in receptions and pulled a down a TD. Parkway ran the ball well despite have zero rushing touchdowns. The Panthers knifed through the lions defense with a platoon of different backs. Stacy McCray had the best run of the night with a powerful 37-yard run. The inexperience Panther team continues to demonstrate it has a powerhouse offense with a show of superior air power and a collective effort on the running game.

Parkway kept Booker T. scoreless in the first half thanks to some penalties and a fantastic campaign on stopping the run. The Panthers held their opponents to just 50 yards of rushing and most of those yards were put up against the their second string. Overall, the defensive line for Parkway got overall great pressure to the lions QB all game and collected 4 sacks. C.J. Morgan is continuing his fantastic season with another interception and his typical lockdown coverage. BTW’s 20 points all came in the 2 half against Parkways backups.

Parkway is gearing up for its first district game at home versus Captain Shreve High school this Thursday.
