This past Friday night marked a huge
win for Calvary’s Cavaliers. They confidently took on the West Monroe Rebels at
the Rebel’s home field. This showdown did not disappoint, the game being a
close one.
Though it was 14-0 Cavs at halftime, the second half the Rebels
really stepped up their game. Both teams put in quite a bit of heart and
effort, and played well. It is evident both football programs are excellent and
forces to be reckoned with.
Regardless of the fact that the game
was a good distance away from Shreveport, Calvary fans still showed up in good
number. The love for the team and pride in the boys was shown loud and proud
until the very end when the Cavs pulled out a 27-20 victory against West
Monroe. Fans, parents, and students could be heard belting out the school’s
alma mater in Coach Bachman Sr.’s post-game huddle. Keep your eye on the
Cavaliers as next week they take on the North Caddo Rebels.
